The Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin was established in 1984 when James P. Ginley of Walpole purchased the Jackson Funeral Home from Walter G. Jackson. Mr. Ginley, the owner of Ginley Funeral Home in Walpole and recently married saw the purchase as a way to expand and complement his Walpole funeral home. In doing so he became able to offer Franklin families his unique and personal way of caring for people in their time of need.

Situated in the stately Victorian building beside Dean College and across from the town library, this home, on the National Registry of Historic Places, is a Franklin landmark. Over the years the home has been fully renovated, enlarged and made handicap assessable.
